4B12 engine questions
I've recently bought a 2010 Lancer GTS and i want to turbo it. I have two options at the moment which is to go with the EvoX set up or the Ralliart set up. Correct me if I'm wrong but for the EvoX minimum PSI is 11-10 and for the Ralliart is 7-8?
Ive been doing a lot of reading and it's come to my awareness that i will need to upgrade internals if i go with the EvoX set up since i can damage internals.
I've read that Caliber SRT pistons and rods may fit? I can't find many options since my understanding of cars is very minimum but i wan't to learn.
Questions:
1. How much PSI can my stock 4B12 engine take?
2. Will i need to upgrade internals if i go with Ralliart set up?
**3. If the SRT4 pistons and rods fit, will my stock cams fit?
Any suggestions and feedback is appreciated. Thanks

Hmmm... There have been plenty of dudes who have tried turbo-ing their lancers and realize how much time and money it takes to complete such a project, learning it's not worth it, ultimately quit and trade it in for an Evo or something else...
This might be another one of those cases.

Im supposed to studying right now now im looking into Evo's i might be able to manage if i look at i this way... my car is 2010 with 33k miles got it for 8k + 3k (if i manage to turbo it) i can use that for a good downpayment but still indecisive since i don't know much about Evo's since i never thought i can afford one (not a new one of course)

Turboing your car isnt going to make it worth more when it comes time to sell.
Might be worth more than stock to someone out there but no one is going to give you 5 figures for it. If someone wants a cheap turbo Lancer, they'll go with a VIII, rather than a FWD someone built.
One thing to look into is buying/selling trends, also know you will make pennies on every dollar spent on modifications.

Go on autotrader you can find a good amount of Ralliart lancers for less than 13k some as low as 8 and 9k. Sure they have more miles but I guarantee you will have less overall problems with a high mileage ralliart versus a turbo Lancer. I've owned a Mitsubishi Lancer since 2008 went from an es my parents owned to a gts I bought after college now to a ralliart I own after buying a house etc. Between these three Mitsubishi my parents also bought my brother a Lancer and my sister owns my gts... I've been around this car and all the forums that have come and gone to know it's not worth it... Seen it and the end result is we either don't hear from the turbo Lancer owner again or they return with a ralliart or evo...
