If that is the case, then present it as such. You complain how crappy the Lancer is, but you didn't buy it! You can't complain to us. I'm sorry that Mom and Dad bought you a car that you don't like. But instead of attacking that car and us, perhaps you should just deal with the hand you've been dealt. My first car was free from my grandparents. I didn't like it, but I drove it until I could afford to buy my own car. Perhaps you should do that, and then you can buy something you enjoy. Until then, don't complain to us about a gift when we're struggling to pay our note. It's not gonna get you an ounce of sympathy.

yep...i had a chance to get my moms 96 integra, fast as hell..sunroof, etc, 5 spd too...but no, i love the evolution, granted i can't afford it but i got my oz last week and hell, my 98 dakota wih a V8 in it would **** on it in a heart beat, but i love it anyway, the interior is the same minus the seats and steering wheel...its as close as i'll get to an evo til i am done with college

Sounds pretty damn retarded to me. You got back from school, so your what 16-19? You should be happy with a car. Most people would only dream of getting a car as a gift. Your just like the little ****s i went to school with that complained that their 2 year old WRX was getting old and that they needed a new one. Your young, you have plenty of time to make some money and buy a performance car. Maybe it would be better to do it when you have a little bit more experience and aren't a stuck up little **** and actually realize that sometimes life is about working for what you want and not just getting it passed to you on a silver platter.

 

havent you ever heard of the phrase BEGGERS CANT BE CHOOSERS. that phrase kind of applies here. If my parents would have got me a car i dont think i would have even got a choise in the matter. All i got to say is If it Aint broke, Dont fix it

 

do u work? ... when i was 16 i didnt even have my permit .. and i didnt get a car till i was about to turn 20. just be happy with ur lancer u still have a long time to enjoy life
