Talking

I'll send you my trapspeed & 1/4 mile time, I believe NOW I should be running HARDER & FASTER with the upgrade I'm doing. I know it sounds like that is really really hard to do. well it is. EX: smoke an EVO, I raced an EVO with custom intercooler, exhaust, header, & catback. with all that, I still kept up with him, he was at 21 LBS of boost & I was @ 9 LBS of boost. I'm not trying to say evo's are slow (THIS EVO WAS PRETTY FAST) It was in 5th gear that he started to pull on me, BUT not by much, very slowly. the reason for that is B/c I top out @ 130 MPH, but my RPM stays @ 38OOrpm that means if i by pass that I know I could go pass 150mph with no problem. in about 2-3 weeks I should be getting my AEM-EMS, I'm just waiting for BOE to let me know to get the injectors & I'm set, 400 WHP here we COME

I trapped a 101mph non-intercooled at 9psi on race gas. Now i'm intercooled running 11psi with about 30 more hp/tq. I'm hoping to be about 107-108. The drag car pulled a 110 trap on the same tune(Stage 2) running 13psi with race gas. I think i'll be in the range i'm wanting. When you talk about gearing the lancer is actually lower geared than the evo thu-out its range. This helps it out on the highway and on the track. Also the AFR for stage 2 is around 10:1 as well. Needs to be that way to ensure a safe kit. Just like a factory car is produced that way for warranty reasons. Think what we'd be doing if we evened that out to 11:1 or 11.5:1...

Evo's get mad props as they are easy to upgrade for great times/speeds. But the lancer isn't that easy and for it to do what its doing says a lot for the owner and the company producing the kit. What gets me is i've only invested about 13k into my car + 16k for purchasing... thats 29k and last i checked still under what most paid for their evo's!!

Evo guys seem to get mad at these posts and get a little butt hurt when they get beaten ESPECIALLY on the highway! At least IE EVO is a good spirit about it all and looking for track times/speeds. In the real world though the evo is not the fastest thing out there... the lancer won't be either but we all love to mod it and make it fast so the joy of playing with our brother/sister evo's on equal footing is great!

Great to see the OZ representing and good luck keeping it reliable. I wish you guys all the luck and hope you have as miuch fun with your car as I have with mine. However, remember the Evo is like a decathelete it does many things well.

With Teins and a good driver i've seen the OZ do wonders on the road. The driver is who really pulls it off. Fortunate for RRM the owner is an unbelievable driver. He had everyone thinking his FWD old 1G was an AWD due to his driving skill. You should have seen the air and corners he was catching and holding in that car. Hell i even thought it was AWD. I've seen him kick the lancer on teins around and the ralliart as well... both were impressive and passing cars all the way. Thus the lancer is just not speed... it has a lot more to offer!

the tein suspensions work awesome I love those suspensions, I haven't tuned my suspensions & with all that I pull of corners & off the line like is an AWD EVO... when I take the video you'll see what A OZ LANCER can do. I had one mechanic (really GOOD MECHANIC) talk about the OZ LANCER like if it sucks, he was telling me how my car with the upgrade turbo, injectors, & EMS That I'm only going to pull out NO MORE then 240 WHP, he was telling that " I bet you anything that you'll run no less then 13.2 in a 1/4 mile..." I laugh so, so, so, so, so, much it made me cry... man, That was the best laugh I had in a LONG time. like I said B4 " Have FAITH & BELIEVE"

This sounds like quite a sleeper. I hope it looks clean!

Also, I'm glad you're keeping up with Evos, but I think on this board it's not great to brag about Evo kills! hahaha Seriously, though, have you upgraded anything else? Seats, wheels, brakes, etc? Those things are a big part of the Evo being a $29K bargain... Also, if you're pushing 300whp, you're going to need much more stopping power than the OZ comes with... Just curious?

i might get flammed, cause i have the SDS....but i also jus started a kill list...and i just killed a evo on the highway boosting around 9-10 psi on my way to Rippmods for some more tunning....

its great to see how our slow OZ/es/ls starting to kick sum evo butt!!!! all i can say we are showing the world that a slow lancer can do a lot of damage!!!!

good **** guys!!!!

I guess this is like as a kid matures he can't wait to be as big and strong as his daddy. So he pumps weight, takes up wrestling/boxing/martial arts and then goes and handles daddy in a playful fight. Unfortunately daddy in this case is still young, strong and big enough to counter all of his sons attempt at superiority and with lil training comes back and takes his son to the woodshed with a real **** whoopin. With that said guys it Boe and Idaz28 it is great that you guys can represent with a sleeper oZ. However, go pick on STIs and Srt-4. Daddy is gonna kick you out the house or get a bigger gun if you keep harrassing him. It also sounds like some of you guys are trying to convince yourselves that OZ Rallys in the end are a better racecar than the Evo and easier/cheaper to mod. Sounds like Honda mentality and do not get caught up with that way of thinking because it is riceish. Last time at the track and punk kid looked at my car and said that I shouldn't be wasting my money on my car and why didn't I buy a Honda and just fix it up. Anyway have fun and go pick on some other victims. Leave daddy alone.
