I don't want to rain on your parades but owning my fourth Mitsu I can say that none of my cars had accurate speedos. Time your car at 60 through a measured mile. Run at least 5 and divide to get an accurate figure, and use a stop watch or a good watch with a second hand. My cars were all off at least 5mph or about 5 sec. for each mile. It shoould go withour saying that, if you time your car at 120 you would be able to run the measured mile in 30 seconds. Be careful you are going to pay big time if you get nailed at 100 or more in CA.
All of my Mitsu cars have had rev limiters that shut off the injectors suddenly when the limit is reached, you will feel the stumble big time.

at pure stock i hit +/- 130 i can't remember i was changing the cd track... then i did a hard break... i lost control then regained.... lost again, and regained.... as to date 1 accident! and it wasn't my fault
mines an auto and i didnt hit the rev limiter going ~130, i still had about 600-700 rpms left. i think the car might be able to do 140 before it runs out of revs if it had enough power and a long enough straightaway.
