Odd, my car is a tad under 4000 rpm at 120, and the gear ratio should let it go way past 130 before hitting redline, although I think the car is topped out around there without a turbo.

NO ONE is going faster then 131.4 mph unless your goin downhill. Thats the max speed i got on a dyno when the fuel cut at a little before 6,300 rpms. I don't think its a speed limiter, its just the normal point for fuel cut (rev limit).

That's correct, it's a rev limiter set to cut around 6200 RPM. So I guess the max possible speed is 131... except for people like me who have a raised rev limiter or bypassed the fuel cut

Alrighty.... can I be the one to ask:

How?

I have a Yellow 2002 Sh*tsubishi OZ Rally Lancer, and at 110 at 4500 in 5th I cannot go any faster. I do not know if it is speed or rev limiter, but I have slapped it down to the floor for a good 5 minutes crusin at 110 not going 1 mph faster. What is the deal? How can you fellas get 130 and so on, in sh*tty automatics? I am confused.

N/A? Not aftermarted? Not American?

haha...i think that speed limiter on autos are more affective..cuz you can't really control your rpms and gears....if you stay on 3 or the one under Drive...you can get a higher speed than drive...once you shift into drive from your lower gears on Auto..you'll hear your car slow down literally...

yeh..after driving on the freeway...and you drive NORMAL speed limit in cities..it feels sooo slow..hahaha..yuo tend to pick up without even noticing...

Very nice. Wish I could do cam gears and injectors. Any plans on using larger valves?
