My nice exhaust system

Well it is time for another person to make their own topic again on the same stuff, but I just wanted to write a short review...so here goes...I suprisingly got my headers and magnaflow catback from RRM today and I just had to put them on even though I am still waiting on my Buschur Downpipe and RRM Magnacore wires...well install on the header went smoothly..I through on a good coat of WD-40 and let it sit then I went to the nuts...none of them gave me a hard time....the bottom left one is so very easy if you take the 4 bolts off the timing cover and bend the frame a bit...use a 14mm rachet wrench and it is a piece of pie...so off with the old stock header and cat....and on with my 'bling bling' RRM one...well fitment was perfect as to be expected and went on easy tightened all the bolts down and I had to lengthen the O2 sensor wires to fit. but that was easy too...well I took it for a ride and it sounded bad....but performance was awesome....I felt it as soon as I hit the pedal to the floor...then I raised it up again and took off the crappy stock exhaust and put on my Magnaflow...that took a little time by myself without help, but I got it and it lined up better than the stock exhaust did...well I turned the key and I thought I unleashed a monster....it sounded mean as he11....so I start to take off and I notice a little raspy sound, but that goes away after a certain rpm....anyways these products are awesome and worth every penny on the quality and perfomance....Much thanks to RRM for looking out for us and offering us such awesome products...
Now the sound is a little annoying at first, but after 5 minutes of driving I don't notice it anymore....I gots lots of power in high rpms, but my low end still sucks bad....oh well much praise to RRM. Can't wait till I am able to get a TURBO. Oh yeah also I have drove like 80 miles now(I drove everywhere today with this exhaust) and I haven't seen a CEL yet so don't know maybe my header is cool...Alright I am out

do you still have the stock 2nd cat, or have you replaced that with a test pipe / hi-flow cat?

I've got the rrm header + buschur Dp .. it rocks, lines up perfectly and there IS performance gain over stock DP.

I have the same setup as you, except I have a kamikaze header and downpipe. I have that raspy sound too and it drives me nuts!! Since i dont have a turbo, I really have no reason to leave my test pipe on, so I think Im going to put the cat back on this weekend and see if the raspy sound goes away. Congrats on your new toys, you'll love them!

Hey man I found the source of the sound.... it is in fact the testpipe...I just took it off and install my cat back on and it sounds awesome....that raspy sound is gone....I also noticed a difference in power loss when I put the cat back on....might be just me, but I felt it...

I was just wondering how can I take a rattle noise out of my new exhaust. Can I do this myself or do I have to get it professioanally done? THANX

if you have the testpipe or high flow cat on, then take it off and put the stock cat back on

so when I get my downpipe will I see a big difference, or will it be just a little...also I heard that you had to have a gasket to match up the 2.5" downpipe to the 2.25" headers and cat...is this true? if so where do I get this gasket
