Just so you know, there is a 3 week timetable for shipping on the Apex II kit because it has to come from bum fu....oops! I mean Sri Lanka. They do not have any of the kits at their California warehouse. At least that is what they told me. Good luck......

The California warehouse does not exist... they mean their US Distributors. Accolade and their US distributors have been banned from this site due to the fact that they are not a vendor and people have complained about their quality and their customer service.

accolade.......I will never but another thing from them again...i posted threads a loong time ago about how poor the quality of their products are and how the customer service sucks. i orderd my kit in feb of 2003 got it in may 2003 and still havnt put it on cause i just dont have the time right now to do all the fiberglass work that needs to be done to it. they were supposed to replace my wing because it was cracked, none of the holes lined up, and it had more waves in it then the atlantic ocean but i still never saw that

I just recently bought a Apex rear bumper.. and guess what? The tailpipe did not align with the opening where the tailpipe should be. So I have to cut the rear bumper to make the tailpipe fit.... I will post pictures soon...

really? hmmm thats weird. i've been driving around with my bodykit (fiberglass import trenz evo 7 conversion) for over 3 months now, and no problems. every material has its strengths and weaknesses. a magazine did a whole article on * vs. *.

urethane:
good: Very strong, almost perfect fitment (if made correctly)
bad: flex's at high speed, more difficult for paint to stick (hard to prep), if it cracks/breaks it cannot be fixed (flex's), IF it dosent fit....your stuck (DEPENDS ON THE MANURACTURER/COMPANY)

fiberglass:
good: does not flex (even at high speeds), if it cracks/breaks it can easily be fixed, easy to work with/prep(can be shaved/molded/added on to etc.)
bad: weaker of the 2 materials, work may be needed to fit (DEPENDS ON THE MANUFACTURER/COMPANY)

they went on to say that fiberglass is the top choice of japan racers/drifter.

note: remember i am not stating this, i'm just passing along what the reviews of materials were.

granted i have never bought a kit from accolade, i have tried buying the eyelids and tail covers from them, and they wouldnt do business with me. they sent me to their "us distributors". one of the webpages didnt work, at all... in fact, i couldnt even pull up any information on ownership of the domain. the second domain worked, but looks as if it was newly redesigned and not carrying *anything* accolade. (odd? yes.) the third is a member on this forum, which no offense, took forever and more for a few pieces of fiberglass to be packed and shipped... i got them, plus extra, so whatever. im patient. the eyelids had so many imperfections in the molding, as did the tail covers...which werent smooth at all, and had an odd texture, from what looks like paper they were covered with to dry or something...(oddly enough i liked, because i am a crack headed artist) ...both of which i was told to sand them to smooth out.,..when there wasnt even enough material to sand. and the grill i have from them, same story, but in addition...no easy way to mount them, and a 1/4" gap between the grill and the hood...no thank you.

yes, the eyelids and covers fit fine with some doublesided tape. and yes, the grill will fit (a friend suggested zipties....) but, all in all, i would rate the quality, at best, poor.

and to justify myself, i am not saying they are terrible, and i havent had a kit from them so i cannot truly judge them as a company. however, i will not put myself in such a situation to judge them. i felt like some random ricer playing with the cheap eyelids and tail covers and that perhaps i should have duct tape somewhere on my car holding my muffler up or something. not the experience i want. i once wanted the evo5 kit they had, which required removal of a nice reinforcement bar...no thank you. the kit has been since removed and they will not produce them. they didnt even say sorry we won't be redesigning them.

i can proudly say from my experiences, as well as all i have read, they will never hear from me again in any shape or form regarding business.

...oh, and best of luck to all of you guys out there who have or will purchase from accolade. i hope your experience is better than mine has been
