wow, sorry to hear that bro. that hood must be really jacked up if it dosent even accomodate the rmr sri. what type of kit did you buy? and who/where did you buy it from? good luck with whatever you decide to do. hopefully the group buy that just went on has better luck......if not, accolade is going to have BIG problems.

There have been countless complaints regarding fitment issues. Caveat emptor.

yea nobody listens to me either. seriously though, why waste your hard earned money on something that was so poorly constructed and has been through many phases of criticism and still hasnt changed for the most part. DAMNIT

anyways why cant they just make the hood exactly like oem except with air vents, why is this so much harder to do? Ill admit the kit does fit, but itll start cracking before you know it.

Never again will i touch fiberglass or have anything like that put on the body of my car. the day i took my eyelids off i just said im done with body pieces.

good luck though, the kaminari looks really promising

I did have a similar problem with Accolades hood not fitting with my SRI. The hood wouldnt close all the way due to it hitting the heat shield on my RMR SRI. I used my dremel and cut a slight slit into the underside of the hood and it fixed my problem. A 3 minute fit and the hood fits 10000 times better now

These problems are ridiculous now. Why not just stop buying from accolade completely and move to Import Trenz/Kaminari and other stuff that we know fits?

When Imapunk said that the kit fit but will crack... that was before they started using PFRP. I've abused the PFRP and not had problems with cracking at all. The SRI isnt a huge deal - they assume you have a stock setup or dont have such a high heatshield. Its not such a big problem, it can be fixed. If you notice, the first dude who posted bought that kit months ago - probably before they destroyed the old molds and produced new ones. I dont know... Accolade needs to get in here and let us know

Yeah but import trends has fiberglass kits as well....my body shop mechanic was telling me to stay away from fiberglass at all costs.
I noticed that import trenz has the Ken style body kit. Anyone have this kit? Does it fit well?

urethane aka(plastic)

My buddy at M&F auto says the same thing about fiberglass. pretty much it sucks but its good for car shows. everyday driver i strongly suggest going with urethane

I am holding out hope that this guys problems are because he ordered his kit 5 months ago. I ordered my Apex II kit with hood last week. They were quick to take my $$ I only hope they are just as quick to back their work if there is a problem. Just so you know, there is a 3 week timetable for shipping on the Apex II kit because it has to come from bum fu....oops! I mean Sri Lanka. They do not have any of the kits at their California warehouse. At least that is what they told me. Good luck......
