Rant: RRM
True. I can agree. I have experienced through my beginning years of management that some people try to cover up their mistakes by making MORE of them. I guess they are embarrased; I don't know.

don't even get me going with triggerhappy and Boni's replies.
Rob, I posted earlier saying I missed the call (i was actually asleep having only 5 hours of sleep everyday for 2 weeks lol. i slept for 15 hours that day..) and that if you would like to talk to me directly, please call my cell phone # i left you guys.
and also, Rob, I hope you take this incident and improve upon it. This is the big idea of my post. I hate reading about other people having bad experiences and even more so if it happens to me. The best way to change things in life is to speak out loud and take action to let people know.
Im sure I made enemies during this post. That wasn't my intention but that's cool if u mark me as one. Read my other posts, think again. I dont say anything about anyone unless I've had an experience with them. Im no lowlife idiot who talks sh|t without knowing whats going on. Why am I even defending myself when I don't have to?
Anyways, i really hope people understand this thread.

Friday - no items; so, I asked for a tracking number (last monday) but I didn't get an e-mail back!!!! So, I've send a private message to Rock. He told me that they are busy and I will get my stuff for sure. Thursday - finally I got my package BUT only the testpipe (huh???)!!!!
So I send a new private message to Rock BUT no answer up to now!!!!!

I respect everyone for speaking their minds and there's no reason for people to hate you bob. your just doing what you felt was right. everyone doesn't have to agree with you.
I believe this is a communication error with the best intentions and it could happen at any work place. I'm sure they (RRM) are interested in this and fixing it. if it wasn't for their customers they woulnd'nt have jobs or any livelyhood. sucks this happened for you man and good luck in the future.

I thought being f#$ked up was a requirement for being a boss. I think it would be fine to work for you, and I would even apply if it wasn't for the 1.5 hour commute. As for this issue, I don't think Bob was in the wrong to post his concerns and I'm glad Rob responded and even apologized for the incident. Problems do happen, especially when the company owner isn't able to handle every customer himself. I had one similar experience with RRM myself and sure I was pissed. But the world didn't end and all of my other purchases from RRM were wonderful and he and his employees have even bent over backwards a couple of times to help me get out of a jam or fit in some time constraints.
I am a supervisor at a retail store, and I know you can't always provide perfect customer service. You make some mistakes and quite often your workers make even more mistakes. You improve what you can, you swallow the rest, and what comes of it is gravy... hopefully. I'll keep shopping RRM because they strive for customer service and no company is perfect. If I were to shop exclusively elsewhere, it would only be a matter of time before a problem arises there too.
Wow, that was a big .02! I'm going to bed now.
i think everyone should build a bridge and get over it, suck it up cupcake, now close this thread to anymore replies because we all get the idea, but any intelligent businessman knows you CANNOT please everyone, it is mpossible, it's expected, so its great you had a bad experience, thanks for sharing, but it won't others from buying from them, their reputation is too good, and it is good for a reason

When i ordered a piggy back ecu, it took an extra week. When i called to check to see if it got shipped out, they had to check a list of names to see if i was on it. The day they got however many ecus it was, was the day they shipped out all of them.
I understand in your case, time was the big issue, and i agree that it sucks that it happened to you. I think you wouldn't have had a problem if the rep from rrm simply told you it was out of stock and that you would have to wait. I would rather know that than have to call back a few days later and find out that it didn't ship and that they don't have it in stock. So maybe they've been busy lately, whatever it may be, but they're still supplyin and makin some nice products for our cars and you can't knock that. RRM, like any business, will always run into some problems, jus be thankful its with dealing with customers as opposed to the products themselves.
I don't think there's any question that Rob and his Road Race Motorsports crew have been great to the majority of people here. Hell, Gabe's helped me out in a pinch with pistons, and I've never had any hitches with either of the two orders I've placed with the company. However this does not negate a person's bad experience. This is not the first time I've heard the same complaint about availability (or lack thereof) in regard to parts, and I doubt it will be the last. I have to say I appreciate Rob's understanding of the situation, and even moreso his desire to fix the problem. However what I think is silly and immature are the responses saying that 1. because Bob had a problem and no one else does he should shut up, and 2. that he doesn't have a problem. I'm not one to believe the customer is always right, but I am one to give a fair assessment of the situation.
I've had the same problem with other companies (Baker Precision most notably where my silicone hoses were on backorder to 3 mos, and my order shipped even after I asked it to be cancelled after 3 weeks of hearing nothing and 3 weeks of [/i]my[/i] calling to see what was up.), and the issue is communication bother within the company and to the customer. Again, I commend Rob for being a great businessman and presumably boss (as I can't say I've ever stopped by RRM, it being 3,000 miles away and all) and not only reckognizing the problem, but trying to address it. And again also, this does not negate Bob's problem. Unfortunately Rob can't go back and fix his experience, so he's doing the best thing that he can...taking steps so that it does not happen again.
I'm just talking in circles here, but I'll summarize with this: Just because most people don't have problems do not make your own problem less legitimate. Bob's posting may have saved someone else from going through the same thing. So be thankful it happened to someone who wasn't you, and be thankful it will probably be corrected so that it does not happen again in the future. Bob, I hope you can get past the sour taste in your mouth, because I think Rob's taking your post seriously, and hopefully you won't be turned off to future dealings.

I think Hobie put everything into perspective very well. Read his post TURBOit.

There's a big difference between criticism and bashing, and I think Tony's been pretty clear that he's not trying to bash. Rob understands, so why don't people just ease off?
If nothing productive comes out of this I'm just going to end up closing it. The thread's already run its course really, but I'll leave it open for now in case someone wants to squeeze a couple last drops out of this ROCK. (get it?)
