Question Question about installing new rear speakers

I have searched, but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I'm buying 2 (6.5) new pioneer speakers for the rear. How do you install them? I need pics, if possible please!! Do I have to take the seats out or fold them down? Need advice PLEASE!!

If your '04 is anything like my '03, you'll need an adapter plate. Not just any 6.5" will fit. Now...if your going with a component system that's available in 6.5"S (S=super size I guess); those should fit. But check this link out to find these plates on Ebay... ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW ). Good luck.

Oh...and your correct. Fold those seats down and lean on in there. Look up. Should be (4) screws holding the speaker cover on the top side. Unscrew that, then unscrew the speakers. (After of course unplugging the neg batt terminal). Good luck.

my alpine came with adaptor plate. But only 3 outta 4 screws had holes on the plate, so i only used 3 screw. And i had to cut the grey card board thingie on the back of the car.

Lucky you had one come with it. My pioneers I wanted in the rear didn't come with. Good job with the Apls, and hope they sound good.

I installed my Dual rear speaker, they didnt really fit nice and it rattle because the bolts doesnt match, so I fabricated a custom rear enclosure for it.
