t Spartan: Yeah I've talked with WORKS about the ECU stuff as well, but (as they should be) they're very vague about what they've found in there so far. I'm hoping that if they come across the DRL system they'll be able to offer a bypass.

As for the relay method; I haven't yet tried that yet. Good find though. Should've thought about that (used the relay method to give my Impala quad headlights and quad taillights). I'll get some parts and see what happens.

It's cool that you got yours working white.

Also I just need a couple more parts to come in, and I'm going to try another workaround.

Hawkeye,

I'm getting my copy of the dealership service manual tomorrow. I'll let you know what I find out. Looks like something that the MUTIII has to defeat.

They sell those already? I'll have to contact my dealer.

In the meantime, start answering every question on the board since you'll be the first one to have the manual.

No, they don't sell them to the public, yet. I'm a sales manager at a Mitsubishi dealership.

I found out what needs to be done, but it involves the MUTIII getting into the ETACS ECU and adjusting item line 244.

I think what he's talking about is that in order for HID bulbs to be truly street legal in the US, they have to be equipped with an auto-leveling system.

already ordered the intake two weeks ago... i wake up every morning hoping for it to be delivered, ha ha.

when it does come (hopefully today), i'll let you guys know how much duties/taxes i was charged...

now to make this more relevant , anyone know if anyone's making projector HIDs for the 08 lancers? i would think its possible since i read somewhere that the evo will have projectors?

Meh. I'll wait and see if I can get my hands on OEM Evo X projector lamps.

I'm not a fan of the majority of aftermarket headlamps. They are generally a bit too gaudy for my taste.
