There will be a chime and the whole screen will go to a gas pump with the word Refuel. When you have 3 gallons left, it just does it for 2 seconds and then goes back to your normal screen (except that now the gas pump is blinking).

The second time, when you have 2 gallons left, there's a chime and the screen goes yellow with the big gas pump and Refuel sign. This will stay on until you turn it off (by holding the INFO button for 2 seconds). Then when you go back to the main screen, the gas pump is blinking fast.

In both situations, the triangle with the ! is shown all the way at the top of the main screen.
