How to relocating front plate?

Have any of you guys done this?

I know I have to drill the front bumper... but how about the "base" it uses? Where did you get it? I just don´t want to screw the plate there.

it kinda looks like the bracket maybe underneath, just right above the driverside(u.s. version) foglight.

My front plate just uses rubber plugs that expand when you tighten the bolts.

most of the new cars front brackets have 2 bolts that go through teh top into teh bumper cover, some have 2 separate that hold the bracket, some use the same 2 through the plate, through the holder.

so if you've already got one in teh center front .. you'll have a couple holes left when you move it over.

There will be a bracket availible when the EVO X comes out, in the mean time, I am in the process of producing some on.

But as Rabidhamster said, problem is with the relocate part is that you will be stuck with 2 bullet holes on the nose of your car from the original drilling thta the dealer does on Inspection when your car comes in. But you can patch it up if you lucky enough to have a easy paint color to deal with.

I will have to see the vendor rules here before i go on in more detail.

But my version will still require drilling in the same manner as the other regular dealer plate in the middle, I have a thread here already in the Lancer show and shine section, if you want pics,

for reference sake this is the look, I think your after?

As far as holes go, I used the carbon fiber cover up method someone else used in another thread, but instead of tape I got some carbon fiber vinyl from ebay. Moved the plate below till the bracket comes out.

edit: That's black carbon fiber (I) vinyl 1 sheet.

Dumb question - why? It's not like the plate is blocking your frontmount intercooler like on the Evo...

See that would work perfect if our plates were like they are in Europe, just a thing plate just the number, not the full size. in that lower spot it would be perfect

I've seen some people bend the plate in the bottom where it says garden state so it fits tightly, but I think I like the evobracket better. iimo when I look at the car I'm like: ok, black, black, black, superbright yellow!, black
