^^^ There has been one or two people retrofit projectors into our headlights using the projectors from ...I believe an Acura TSX. It was expensive, but it turned out really nice. As far as putting HIDs in a stock headlight...Don't. It will create a scattered light that will shine in drivers eyes and be ridiculously bright to the point of offending other drivers, but don't let this discourage you haha. If you are set on HIDs then go for it, but be ready for the high beam flashes when people think you haven't turned off your high beams. Just my $0.02 BTW Welcome to the forums...and next time use the search function first, this has been covered so many times already.

Jus to make it clear to him thou.
No HID on stock headlight. But Silverstar ULtras wtf!!!
Still no aftermarket projector for 02-03 lancer! so dont expect
much better to DIY project. which really cost alot
or probably try to buy those retrofir projector headlights from thw ones who made the projects.

^^^ Those look like absolute sh**

not to mention the fact that they're rediculiously over-priced.

I'd say go ahead and plug and play a nice H.I.D kit in there... don't worry about the passing drivers... they'll get over it

i took some projectors from an 02 acura tl, and the headlight housings from a wrecked 02 oz. Trimmed down the stock housing and the TL projectors fit nice and snug. After you do that just buy some ballast. Don't just put some plug n' play HID kits in because the beams are not focussed like people think they are, and there for illegal if it is blinding others (experience).

what i used was i bought a plug and play kit, and had lamin-x headlight tint, so my lights aren't blinding to drivers. i've never been flashed because of my lights. i was attempting to bake the headlights so i could black them out, but the how to on here, i did exactly what they said, with the towel, pan, etc, and it didn't seem to work.

then your either not baking them long enough or your ovens not hot enough

ill be honest,

i have an 02 OZ and i have the plug and play HID kits that i bought from a local car shops that manufactures them.

i didnt get them really for the looks or because of the trend. I just simply love to drive at night and i felt like my headlights didnt illuminate as much as i wanted to. I travel alot between NY and CT and NY to NJ to visit family and such, so at night my lights just werent cutting it.

so i got my HID's and i love them, but it is a pain for other drivers sometimes when im driving behind them or when there's on-coming traffic. There aree some different types of HID bulbs that you might want to consider. I have the 9007-2 type bulb which allows me to Keep my regular beams, and switch over to HID. So i can infact toggle between the two bulbs and switch whenever necessary.
