Need Help Installing Fog Lights :-/

Ok... So I bought my fog lights on ebay and they are almost exactly like the real OEM fog lights that come on the lancer GTS's. On the box they are called ESUSE Original-type Fog Lamp for Mitsubishi lancer 2008. I had no problem setting up the harness for the lights, removing the front bumper to set up the wires that connect to the bulbs, or installing the switch that goes inside the car. All I need is some electrical and wiring advise. I don't know how to connect my switch on the inside of the car to the rest of the wires in the engine bay (how to i get it past the firewall). And I'm not to sure how to hook up my lights to a power source. If there is anyone that can help me I would really appreciate it!

I'll be trying to fish a wire through the firewall for my Lows, so that I can bypass the DRL stuff. If i find a convenient spot, I'll take a picture. I'm hopping I can get it through behind the steering column, but i have a feeling i'll be goin back behind the air filter somewhere. We'll see what happens when i start taking stuff apart.

In order to run the wires behind the bumper you have to remove the entire bumper which can be found somewhere on these forums.

As for the rest of the electrical work there is a rubber grommet behind the engine against the firewall.... all you have to do is cut a small slit in the side of it and feed your wires through that hole. That is how the manufacturers fed all their electrical lines so be careful. It will come out on the other side towards the middle of the dash. if you're looking under your dash from the drivers seat you should see a small cardboard opening where the wireswill come out! From there you can make it reach your switches.

The fog lights came out great! The ebay ones are good because your basically paying half of what mitsubishi is charging and you can use the rest of the money switching to HID's!

what I would do is get a relay... put your ground to a regular ground... and the relay switched to the low side lights... so whenever you turn your small lights on... you FOGS would come up ...now i you like me or some other ppl dont like me sometimes dont wanna have it on is that just put the swith inside your car... for ex.

1.- Ground to ground or chassis.
2.- Positive To Batery or other source of Positive
3.- Switch cable routed to the inside of the car.. to a switch then bring it back to the small bean positive.

reason:

your inside switch will only work if your Low beans are on... this protect you from leaving your FOGs light accidentaly on... and drain your Batt.

that is what I would do... again... please be sure.. that you get your rights wire...

so guys can anyone right a small how-to with pics? i am really not very good at it my self but if i have some pics i should be fine.
basically right now i have my fogs connected to the low beams and they also run as drls together with low beams which i don't like. what i want to do is put a switch and will be able to turn them on and off whenever i want, not depending on drls.

sounds like you need an automotive technician to be doing this for you. Are you sure you should be setting this up yourself?
