i have lancer 2003 es and the guy at best buy said i need to use rca to bypass a stock amp? where is this amp? is there a way i can just use the amp in stead of taking up all my rcas so i cant install subs? i plan to get another amp for when i gey my subs and with the way the guy told me i had to do i cant. he said i need to use the 2 rca ports on my deck and put 2 adapters to expand it too 4 and use this harness he gave me with 4 male rca ports. logicly i think i could just use the stock amp or at least take it out so i can save my rca ports????

 

goto car toys i think they are a better help. I had no stock amp with my lancer and usually the stock amp is underneath the passenger seat or your seat.

Most lancers didn't come with stock systems. All i did was goto car toys get the harness and installed my sony deck and installed my amp with a amp wiring kit i got from wal-mart its pretty simple and easy.

 

yeah im pretty sure he was tryin to get me to buy extra stuff also after posting htis i searched a little harder on here and some guy had a how to with pictures of every step and he mention nothing of this amp bypass and i dont ahve the sound package only 4 speakers no tweaters so im pretty sure i dont have an amp even when i turn it up the whole way it dosent even get loud cruthfeild mentioned no stock amp bypass or the special harness with rcas either so i think im going to order ir from there 120$ for 4 pioneer 2 ways and all the installation tools( harnesses and spacers) isnt bad imo!

 

nice, yeah car toys went straight to the point and wasn't trying to get me to buy stuff harness wasn't expensive and wiring kit was good (wal-mart)


im running a 300 watt ( i know really low but lol i got it for real cheap) memphis amp and running (2) 12s Competition kickers, weighs my car down a lot but i can't really feel the weight now with the turbo lol

 

still cant seem to find this amp does it exist?
