I've been wanting to get parts for this car and all I see is parts from Road Race Motorsports that fit this car and nothing else and i really wanted an Injen Cold Air Intake. Now that I look at it... even in these forums the Lancer is only 2008+ but the Ralliart Lancer forums is 2009 wth is goin on? There is such thing as a 2009 lancer right lol thats 2.4L engine instead of the 08 lancer thats 2.0L engine?

someone please clear this up for me so I know that i jsut gotta wait for after market parts if i dont want RRM parts

first off you bought the wrong car if you want alot of aftermarket parts.. its the lancer, not the evo/ralliart. also, if you want an injen cai, you don't you sign up for the injen development? there is a thread around here somewhere that injen is looking for a 09 lancer in the LA area..

ya more of the after market is directed toward the evo's. they generally get modded a lot more than regular lancers, probably just have to wait

I think injen is currently developing a CAI specific to the 2.4l engine. However the CAI for the 2.0 will most likely work just fine. In addition most of the parts available to the 08 lancers also fit on the 09 gts.

Not sure why people are so confused as this has been explained several times spread among several different forums.

MANY of the aftermarket parts for the 2008 Lancer trims are compatible for the 2009 Lancer trims. Just like MasterAK, the Injen CAI for the 2008 2.0L is compatible with the 2009 2.4L and the performance increase will be there. It would make no sense for Mitsu to roll out a car that is completely different from last years unless it was a complete redesign. More often than not, most yearly progressions result in only slight modifications from the previous model.
