rust and carpet

whats up buys. has anyone replaced the carpet in their lancer? under my drivers side floor mat there is spot where the carpet wore away and the floor pan is showing through, the only problem is that the spot is rusted. anyone have experience with this and how hard the whole carpet piece is to replace.i mean i know that it would require gutting the interior, but apart from that?

i had the same prob the carpet on my driver side was torn and worn out i was able to buy a carpet from an evo off ebay for 20 dollars and the install wasnt that hard just had to take seats and center console out and the door sills and some things under the dash but it was pretty easy . also i did have what looked like rust stains under the carpet but cleaned up the floor of it but it was odd that there was some on the carpet in places where there was no rust on the floor.

scotch brite and some paint or undercoating or both. Doesn't really matter cuz the carpet will cover it.

alright, so a new carpet costs like 600 bucks, and i don't want to spend that kind of money, is there any site out there that sells those carpets for any less? or any ideas on how to get a new one?
