I have a 08 lancer de i bought at an auction. Its automatic and non mivec. I need help. I wanna swap the engine and tranny but dont know what i can swap with. can someone please help i would really appreciate it.

 

Wait... I thought all the 08,09 Lancers had MIVEC.

 

I think it would be pretty expensive to swap and engine and convert the tranny. It would've been easier to have bought what you wanted originally, and cheaper too.

 

All 2008 Lancers; DE, ES, and GTS have the 2.0 MIVEC. Try lifting up the hood and see the MIVEC clearly written on the motor cover!

the de doesnt have an engine cover so yeah he cant just pop the hood and read the cover there is none.

My bad, did not realize the DE did not come with a engine cover. Was not trying to "be a dick" Was simply stating what I thought was common knowledge that all 2008 Lancers, besides the EVO were a 4b11 with the 2.0. Thanks for pointing out a simple mistake. Sorry for not being perfect! He could open up the glove compartment though, and read the owners manual like most new car owners do! By the way, GO HEELS!!!!!!!!!

 

I said from the beginning that I didn't know much about mitsubishi. But I do appreciate all the info. Thank you for making me aware.
