Question Custom Exhaust?

Hey everybody. I want everyone's honest opinion. I have 08 Lancer GTS. I want a custom exhaust but don't know how it will look. I have a beautiful CF uni-muffler. There is a shop down here in SoCal called "Sweeny's" that does an awesome job on exhaust systems. What I want to do is take the stock axle back off and flange my uni-muffler straight to stock pipes. I want the muffler to hang directly in the middle of the bumper. In my head it looks nice. I checked underneath the back and once the stock muffler is removed, there should be enough room for the muffler to hang and not touch anything. Two questions: When I get my RRM GRIPS springs, how will the exhaust look? If I get a rear diffuser and cut a section for the muffler to fit through, will the exhaust still look nice? I'm more about style than performance with this car. It's a fun car to drive and cops already don't like me. I'll be adding things like RRMs SRI and Pulley. I'm posting some before pics now on flickr.

IMO center exit exhausts are not for this car, but if you wanna do it by all means. if you were stuck on using that muffler though i would do one of those exhausts tat the can is cocked to the side a bit so that you can show off the CF to the back instead of just hiding it under the car.

Yeah, this is going to be harder than i thought. My man Sweeny doesn't have the correct flange. So im trying to find a junk muffler to chop the flange from. I really dont want to cut the flange from my stock muffler. Also hanging the muffler in the center is also quite difficult since the nearest hanger is almost a foot from the muffler. If you guys no a good place to find a junk muffler that would great.

idea sounds good, but i think it would look better if it was dual center exhaust instead of just one big exhaust. might look good though. post pics when you get it done =]

Ok everyone, so I went ahead and got the exhaust installed. It looks great and sounds nice. It has a nice rumble sound to it but not "wake the neighbors" loud!. The Rockford fostgate sound system is louder. I think RRMs SRI will give the engine that deep throttle sound. But this thing looks awesome. I agreed with some ppl's post and decided that the muffler would not look right in the center. So I went with the angle approach. The burnt tip is almost an exact match the electric blue paint. The price wasn't bad either. $50 for the muffler and $80 for the pipe and labor, WOW!!! The pics are on flickr. Let me know what you think.
