At 45mph I think I'm on 4th or 5th gear, but I noticed most the time I'm at 2nd or 3rd gear because I'm always driving in the neighborhood and there are stop signs or red lights every block.I'm usually at 20-40 mph. So it is okay to shift all the way to 5th gear even if I'm going 35 mph???? I'm going by the 1st - 2nd gear at 2.5K and the rest at 3.5K

2nd 2.5 but I feel like I should shift at 2.0
3rd 3.5 and the rest around 3.0-3.5
4th 3.5
5th 3.5
6th 3.5

 

i got a 2010 gts with the cvt and if u slow down in any mode sport, or not it automatically downshifts to a recomended gear if ur r going too slow for the gear ur currently in. but it will nvr up shift just go slightly under redline and stay there. but there r 2 different modes of sport, i guess, if u pull the shifter over tht always stays in sport but if ur in drive u can hit either paddle shifter and it goes into a sport mode also but when u stop it goes back into D mode or just hold the + paddle till it goes back to D. just play with it but please dont do it around others or when in wet or snow nvr like hearing bout people crashing their cars but u need to learn and have fun
