New 2012 GTS - Alignment is pulling to the left

Once I hit 75mph on the highway the car pulls to the left.

I spoke with the dealership and they are taking a look at it.

According to the service deptartment, they cannot do an alignment until 10k miles because the "frame needs to set" whatever that means.

Can this be fixed and is the frame statement, a legitimate statement?

I think all Lancers do that.... remember when I had my 2011 GTS(totaled), 2nd day notice it going left a little more than straight... If yours is pulling a lot then I don't know.... Good luck, I thinking of getting a 2012 ES or GT or Outlander Sport now.

all the lancers have been doing this since 2008.

new tires helped the problem for me along with an alignment.

Does it really move a lot? If it a little it should be okay, just turn it a bit inwards or I guess if you must go the lawyer route, let us know the outcome =).

Will do... it is not a huge amount, but enough where is will wear on my tires. If they provide me with free oil changes and/or new tires for life, I can deal w/ this issue.

might consider retaining that lawyer for when your paint starts degrading because its going to happen.

They actually fixed my alignment. So it actually is perfect right now.

Lancer0220 - You have lost all credibility in my book. You really think all lancers since 2008 pull to the left... that is retarted. As for the paint, I have no idea what the heck you are talking about.

Umm its been documented on here , 9g and PL and LT that peoples lancers would pull to the left and an alignment at the dealership would not fix the issue. Also the dealership would claim that it was "normal" as the alignment would be within "spec" (which the spec is huge which might account for the pull).

members reported that an alignment at a different shop would help but it would often take 2-3 trips, many had success once they replaced their tires, personally I felt a slight drift to the left but it wasnt bad, once I changed my tires and got an alignment it went away.

As far as credibility thats cool i guess...

maybe you should learn to use the little cool feature that this forum has..."SEARCH"...well ill help you out because your lawyer is probably too busy to search this for you...

I searched "lancer pulls to the left" these are the threads i found, i also only went through half of page 2 of 4 so there are plenty more and probably more on the other forums... IF ONLY THEY HAD A SEARCH ENGINE THAT WOULD SEARCH ALL FORUMS!?!?

this one pulls to the right

also documented in a long term report

Next time please think about what your saying to someone who has been on here for 5 years and has over 1400 posts, i have personally owned an 08 gts and an 09 gts (still own) combined mileage is 155k miles, half on the 2.0l engine and the other half on the 2.4l engine, i have owned every exhaust made for our cars except borla and tsudo, ive tried a CAI a SRI, and 3 different drop in filters, i have many mods that 99% lancer owners do not have...to sum it up i know WTF i am talking about and when i dont, i dont reply to a thread.

/ rant

You do notice how all of these are 2008 lancers.... you dont think they made any correctional fixes on the new body style between 2008 - 2012.

Yes... all lancers must just pull to the left... LOLOLOL

considering mine was a 2009 and several members in the local lancer club had the same issues with their 09 and even 10...no i dont think mitsu made any major correctional fixes.

i only searched one forum and didnt dig very deep, the issue with the pulling could be mitsubishis large degree of tolerance for the alignment, could also be the poor tires they chose to put on the cars.

another quick search brings up

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...alignment.html

where 2009 ralliart owners are complaining about poor alignments...

http://9glancers.com/index.php?topic=13384.0

another forum where 2009 2010 and 2011 owners care commenting on the pull

Looks like someone wants that magical 15 post count bad...

Do some research yourself, lancer0220 has provided proof that it was an issue and could still technically be one. If you don't want to take the help given, then not sure what the point of the thread is.
