Silly question... but did you unzip the files before you burnt it?

Good question. You need to burn the .iso not the .zip file.

ok so ran into a problem today. i unzipped the loading and all data to a disk. i inserted the disc as i started to drive to work, not thinking that it would interrupt the process lol it was very early. so then after work i put the disc back in and it says its updating program version or something then it stops and says "dvd drive does not work turn off engine key to retry." at this time the car is on acc and not moving, and now i cant get "insert program disc" off my screen. any suggestions? please help i cant stand this and dont want to take it to mitsu...

You're MMCS is f-up. Maybe someone else can help you with this problem. This is why i ask first before i do anything with it. Lesson learned my friend.

Very unusual that you got a DVD Drive error and now it can't read from the HDD. My suspicion is there is another fault in the MMCS -- maybe the hard drive just came loose?

Is the unit still under warranty? If so, take it to them to fix. Otherwise, if you're reasonably technically inclined, you can try removing the hard drive and patching the files manually.

Just ran this on my 08 GTS and it worked like a champ. Backed car out of drive and pulled back in without issue. Thanks for this, will come in handy when i'm stuck in traffic to and from work!

If only someone had something this simple to update our NAV
