they talk about resource kit to do it however i am after a software patch like the one suggested by otaku

 

The problem i'm having with this,, is i'm unable to install nero burning rom.. version 10 asks me to install some essential window's updates which i'm unable to. ive also tried to install older versions and they all say that the demo has expired.

I've then tried about 3 other Iso burning softwear. power iso, active iso burner

etc..

Anyone happen to have sucess using something other than nero burning rom?


selecting burn as iso image. when in the nav unit, i get a checking disc for about 30-60 seconds then it stops. no reboot etc etc..

If you want to get technical you could always just ground the ebrake and connect the foot break wire to a toggle switch with a constant 12v. Thats what I did on my car.

 

How do I know which version I have and which patch I need?

I have application 00.30.99 and worked fine for me but if you dont have that one I think they explain how to do the other ones in there.

seems I have the same problem as discussed several pages ago. I have MMCS version E01 (European version). I have tried to update it to R03... and failed several times. Toshibe HDD dead... so I have been using another three HDDs for experiments: Seagete 40G, WD 120G and Samsung 80G. After some steps (I'll descrive it below) I have "Insert programm disc" message on MMCS screen.
What I have done... I have downloaded and R03 HDD image (as show on one of Russian sited describes the issue of updating MMCS software) and put it to HDD with Acronis. Than I have changed loanding files on HDD (loadind and all date files). It was a mistake, so I faled with updating MMCS and need to start from the scratch again. But first I need to pass the issue of a messege on MMCS screen "Insert programm disc".
As I seen Mivo med this issue and passed it somehow. Would you be so kind to advise what do I need to do? As I understood, I need E01 HDD image which I need to put on HDD... Right? Or I need to burn any other files to CD-R and put it in MMCS to upload?

You need to burn the file AS an .ISO. IF you need an application for burning go download MagicISO. Free and its what I used to update my .41.02.

 

Found out how to do mine through a YouTube video, tested it out to see if it worked with Jurassic Park. NBD.
