Is it Possible?
Is it Possible?
I just got a 2003 Oz Rally Lancer and I want to upgrade the interior by getting a GPS system. I am curious if its possible to add a In-Dash GPS touch screen monitor in the car. If so can I get some help :/
what you need is a double DIN bezel and HVAC relocation like this:
Amazon.com : Mitsubishi Lancer 2002-2007 Complete Install Double Din Dash Trim Frame Kit : Electronics
this puts your heat controls at the bottom where the cubby/cd-changer (depending on year and trim) would normally be
then obviously you'll need a double DIN head unit with Navigation...which are quite expensive, ranging from $500-$1,000, so I won't post links because there are many options...you may be able to find cheaper...but I didn't look much...I'm planning on doing the same thing when funds are available, and my car stops breaking down...lol, cheers

Cool that we have the same idea. Thanks for the information but as I was searching around would this be easier to install? Or would it even work?

yeah sure, that'll work...it's single DIN, so it'll fit right where the factory head unit is...make sure you get the right harness adapter, and you should be good to go...I just assumed you wanted the display in-dash like modern cars, when you said "in-dash"...cheers, and good luck with the project
