Go to the hardware store and get some peel and stick roofing membrane. Compare it to dynamat and see that you can get a roll to do you whole car 2 times costs $80-$100 for the same product. Its just a little thinner so put on 2 layers and then its thicker then dynamat. I have worked with both dynamat and roofing membrane I found the membrane a lot easer to work with and works just as well.

I've got dynamat in my truck. Bought their trunk kit off of eBay for around $40 I think. Worked well, kept everything nice and tight back there. Downside - I don't crank my system up as much as I used to and I'd like to get rid of the dynamat to save some weight. Heh, that's going to be a pain. Hopefully the dry ice idea will work, but we'll see.

Otter the dry ice will work, its slow and painful but just don't burn yourself with the ice. I've seen it done. Also i'd heard a lot of good things about using the roofing membrane stuff, i'm cheap. But i don't mind rattles..

I was thinking about getting some B-Quiet for my car. Dynamat is too expensive.

There is also this stuff called Fat Mat. I've seen comparison tests and it's basically identical in performance to Dynamat Extreme. Except, it weights only half of Dynamat Extreme and is way cheaper. $100 for 100 sq.ft. and that 100sqft only weighs 23lbs. Same amount for Dynamat would weigh like 45-50lbs. Go to www.fatmat.com. I did and love it!

It works good unless you are in an extremeley hot climate where the adhesive can wear out fast...speaking of which there is a company here in Phoenix that makes 'generic' dynamat for about 1/2 the cost. They also have the spray in mix which I think works WAY better.

You need a spray gun and air compressor, pretty much like painting but its real thick stuff so make sure you keep the pressure low or you will blow out the canister...I think Dynamat actually makes a rattle can version but its much more expensive.
