amby has a point, if ur 20 or so, and u drive an audi, GIRLS know 1 of 2 things, either ur parents bought it for u so ur spoiled, and ur broke n wont have any money to spend on them. i dont think u want either!

I'm sorry man, but you're starting to live up to the stereotypes us young people have, that is of being wreckless, naive, and far too present minded. If you're doing this because you think girls will like it, you have serious self esteem issues, talk to any woman and they don't give a crap what you drive, they care who you are. If you actually manage to find a woman who cares, you're better off staying away, since woman like that are extremely shallow and you're almost guaranteed to get dumped when the faster, flashier car appears. Lets put is this way, where do you see yourself in a year, driving the audi? In a year I'll have a degree. Where do you see yourself in 3 years, driving the audi? In 3 years I'll be finishing up my masters. Now then, who do you think woman are going to be more attracted to? I'm trying to start anything, I'm just asking you to actually sit down and think about your future, because sooner or later, its going to creep up on you.
....im still amazed how a post about getting a turbo turned into a how to plan for your finiancial sucess seminar.....
in all seriousness thought I agree with you guys....you need to have a plan and work towards a future. Can't always live in the now...no matter how tempting is can be.

ok this thread was about what to do with his turbo, then it switched to him getting an audi, now its going to go to college instead of an audi. Come on its his decision to get an audi from his mom rather than college. I mean my dad paid for my car in full brand new for christmas of 2003 and also paid for my college. OK, sell the turbo, then get the audi or don't you have plenty of input from this thread to make a choice.

i gotta put my honest 2 cents in right now.. im 26.. live on my own pay my own bills rent, Make about 50K a year. all my younger friends 19-23 all say this.... "Bro u make good $ for being in your 20's.... why arent u driving an evo.. why are you still in the lancer" they dont understand that I see a bigger horizon. I'd rather buy my little lancer right now.. and clone it like rrm's or omar's with my "play money"... and invest all of my "serious" $$ in real estate and money markets.. one day i can retire from corporate america early and play with my kids (in the future lol) and my brand new evo all day!
i know you seem very frustrated with this car chris... but comin to you as a big bro and not "some dude from jersey" i wanna say do whats practical when your young. you reap what you sow when i was in college i drove a damm plymouth reliant (aka State car or aka "K" car") and i had a beat down saturn. now im a computer technician / Helpdesk... I had a sweeeet red infiniti G20t...sporty but yet pretty "baller" had to pawn it cuz jersey insurance doesnt respect young kids driving infiniti's
killed my intentions of upgrading to the g35 coupe lol... so instead i have a lancer with plenty of goodies and more to come... i have the joy of sitting in an office just waiting for a computer to "break down".. if not i dont do anything all day at work but browse evoM.. I go home and play PS2 - SOCOM 3 all night
but forget about my routines.. what im trying to say is.. you have plenty of time to have the time of your life..... just take it easy bro.. i went through the same thing you did. and eventually life pays! one day it will be your time to "shine"

okay. my boys D, and Dave, thanks for replying something. Umm - yeah to the cats who think i aint in school - i am in my 4th year at a University down hhere. (university of montevallo). graphic design major, i'll be a senior in januarary. how the hell this this thread get off subject? The turbo is on ebay right now - umm, my MOM and DAD will buy the audi OR mazda 3 for me - and "getting girls" is not the only reason for getting an audi. If i recall, and u can scroll and look - i said " PLUS, the girls will like me in it" or something liek that. I understand saving and stuff like that. trust me. i get all that. My parents are gonna buy me a new car when i graduate, or before - because they're proud ive been in school for so long and hangin in there. nothing to do w/ being spoiled. thanks for the comments. this thread is done.?

2001 Audi S4 = AWD 6Spd. man. (250HP) Bi-Turbo (Can we say "hey evo - i wanna come out to play....you've seen what i did to the SRT-4 right?")
c'mon now. for around $13-17,000 . I ain't thinkin bout the future. I'm thinking bout speed , and soon .
as in within the next year. Not to mention i'd get major *** in an AUDI and being only 21 yrs old.

Don't forget education doesn't stop after 4 years, in todays world you really should look at going to a masters or even a Phd. Also, why not simply have your parents put the money into a savings account for you, or invest it? Sure it sounds lame, but really, your 21, having a car bought for you should be behind you. Note, I'm not "hating" or anything like that, I'm just offering some friendly advice.
