neon still sucks

 

we heard you the first time..

 

i got pulled over for mine and the cop said any color was illegal. Then he said he could take me to jail just cuz mine are blue.

 

That's bad news for alot of people who are into the neon's, but as long as the bulb's aren't showing and as long as it's not an "illegal" color you should be fine.

 

Hmm, not all that sure he can exactly take you to jail. Perhaps he was attempting to scare you? As far as blue neon's go, I know one other person that has blue neon's and he has yet to get pulled over. Might be interesting if he does.

 

One thing I found .... I don't know if it is thesame in MA as FL but if you can actually get a letter from the police cheif or fire cheif saying you can have red or blue lights, then you cant get a a ticket form it. From what I remeber 1) Red or Blue Lights of any car means "You are trying to inpersonate a state official (cop, fireman, emt) .... that is why you get the letter from one of the chiefs. Now any light that You have, that is not factory and not blu or red .... they can not pull you over unless they can prove that it hinders yours and/or any other drivers sight while driving. This goes for any type of light but this is also the law for MA.

 

thats such a weird idea, getting letter from the chief. lancerlovercr which part of boston are you from? never seen you on this board.

I looked into this last year becuz i smoked my tail lights out and i wanted to check to see if they could give me a ticket.

 

i agree, but there's this other company VARAD that also makes underbody lights which are EXTREMELY bright.. i'd say twice as bright as streetglow and the lights itself are able to strobe.. i, myself, have bought streetglows before, but never had the chance to get them installed bcoz all 3 times i ordered them, they came cracked so i just never bothered anymore. i have never heard of any complications with VARAD lights, so jus try and check it out.. it could possibly be better..

 

I have ordered 3 street glows and they never came in cracked.

2 for my lancer (stupid peopel balancing my wheels lifted it and cracked the sides on the first set)

and 1 for my eclipse.

if you get the gold series (like I did) they have a lifetime warrenty.

since I went throught a local shop that I know, I returned the broke ones I had and have an extra set sitting in my closet now.

 

get blue!! i have a blue kit im trying to sell that came off of my eclipse hehehe. its a liteglow low glow kit with the seperate transformer. bright as hell, i have pics.
