i would definately go with white, i also have a thunder gray lancer and i tinted out only the red on my taillights and changed every other light on the exterior to sylvania whies and i think it looks hot, im in the process of gettin white neons for underneath, and changing my turquoise (aqua) neons in the interior to white as well.....

hRm.. as of now, im still leaning towards blue.. but i am also heavily considering red as another factor, as well. as for white, looks a little too plain for me now that i look at it. but if u you could post pics, tglancer, of your car as soon as you get it done, i would gladly appreciate it.. thanks!

Wiring neons.

OK, i've read every post there was on this but i just want to make sure i do it right.
I got some cheap blacklights from target, and i wanna wire them without having the cig adapter hangin out and i DONT want to run another wire from the battery.
People have said to tap into the 12V source from the cig lighter, does that mean split the positive to go to the cig lighter and to the neons? and then do you ground the neons or wire the other side to the negative of the cig lighter
also, i want a switch on it, do you switch the positive or negative?

Sorry for being such a noob on this easy subject, but i dont wanna blow the bulbs or anything. thanks

Just go to a parts store and buy an ADD A CIRCUIT it goes in a fuse socket and has a wire running from it. Its easy and you dont have to splice wires. you will have to ground to the chassis

its only like $6 and works great it holds 2 fuses. one for the added circuit and one for the circuit you went off of. I install stereos and I use them all the time for amp. remote switches on cars with power antennas

you can just splice both the wires comming from the cig lighter. ones the 12v and ones the ground. very easy to do.

don't run too many things off it though. a few black lights will be ok, but if you start adding things you are most definatly going to want to run an inline fuse right from the battery.

edit: switch the posative
