color match the chrome part to you car w/ a black mitsu emblem

im having that done as we speak..

i'd say go with the blacked out look, i had that before my accident, but now i have to buy a new grill if you do, you could really set off the car with carbonfiber side reflectors and black rims...

one more for good measure

i wouldn't go black with red mitsu emblem, i did a rough photo chop of it when i was deciding what to do and it looked like the grill had a pimple on it. the black mitsu logo and crome shold look sweet

I have my grill black with a red mitsubishi sign. The little mitsubishi sign pops out so you dont need no vinyl sticker. I also painted the vents of the grill red.

like he said up above black it out with a red emblem, fat with a PH. I see I am not the only one that got into an accident with mine, the only good thing that came out of it is my body kit.

i wouldn't go black on a yellow lancer.i have a yellow OZ and am planning on getting the entire grill painted lightning yellow to match the hood(untill i make my custom grill)
in my opinion black on a yellow car starts to make it look like a bumble bee...but if that's what your into then ignore my opinion

I really like the way mine came out, although I have a black Lancer. You can see if in my profile, but I color matched the grill and left the emblem chrome.

hey man you know what would look SICK? Leave the chrome part chrome and paint the black plastic part of the grill yellow. Then paint the mitsu logo red (or leave it...whatever)

if you painted it yourself what kind of paint did you use?

It's in the description in my profile. I sanded it a bit first to scuff up the chrome then I put on 3 layers of auto primer. Then I put on several coats (I think 3 or 4) of industrial strength black Rust-o-leum. Finally, I covered that with 3 coats of clearcoat. I think in retrospect, I would probably have used a flat black instead of a gloss. It really needs the clearcoat anyway, so the gloss just got sanded regardless. Also, I'd put on maybe 5 or 6 coats of clearcoat in hopes that chipping would happen a little less.
