Prefered Detailing Products?
Hello,
I'm new here and was wondering what brands of detailing products you guys prefer? I just got a new Lancer GTS and am bout to start working on getting a detail/washing system together and was wondering what you guys and gals have had experience with.
I have been checking around and have found Griot's Garage and Adam's Polishes to have interesting lines.
What do you think?
Thanks,
Mike

Paint: Meguiar's for easy to find off the shelf stuff. Zaino's if you don't mind ordering online and spending a pretty penny.
Plastic/Vinyl/Rubber: 303 Aerospace Protectant. That stuff is the ****. They also make a upholstry cleaner that works well in cars.
Engine: Simple Green, then wipe down any rubber and plastic parts with the 303.
Headlights/Tail lights/clear plastics and acrylics - 3M plastic polish
Polished aluminum - #00 steel wool, followed by Mother's Aluminum/mag polish.

If you want to step up to real detail stuff rather than autozone specials look at detailersdomain.com, adams, or properautocare.com
Menzerna and Blackfire are two great complete lines. Check them out.

Poorboys is great. Im pretty much sold on their product due to the price and results ive gotten. Its done better for me than any of Meguirs stuff. Also pick up a porter cable if you have the money. If not go to Harbor Freight and pick up a polisher (its like 30-40 bucks) and order some better pads and backing plates.
