Aznguru's Budget Build 03 Lancer (no 56k!)

Hey everyone,
so i decided to get off my lazy *** and get to work. Unfortunately i'm on a tight budget (still in university), so i have to DIY for my car mods. Decided to share with everyone, please give me some feedback on places i can work on.

let me begin my story

Virgin Lancer

Added a license plate cover.

Back Shot of License Plate cover

Tinted !

Time to move on to my Grill

tried this look but it was TOOO UGLY

So i just painted my grill black

3 mods so far (Changed Grill, Tinted windows, License Plate)

Decided to Change my oil and Filter (K&N and Synthetic)

Time to move on to black out my headlights

Black out 101 !!

Took me soo long to tape !!

I LEFT THE LIGHT in the OVEN TOO LONG !! and got owned.

Therefore might as well make the best situation out out of it.

HA ! no lights =),

I call it the tear drop, lol -_-" ..

took off the ugly Hub Caps

After Cleaning things up, HERE is my finished product!!

Side Shot

=)

(TOTAL COST: $150 (Tint), $10 (Plates), $30 (Paint) = -$190)

FUTURE PROJECT (What should i do next that's cheap?)

- (Dent/Scratch Cleaning) - I need help with this, anyone know how to fix the following?

From a very VERY big ROCK that fell off a truck (almost killed me)

From Stupid hit and run ppl !!

- Engine Clean up
- Intake?
- Interior Painting
- Installing a new Deck

Take it to a local body shop and see how much it would be to have them fixed/painted. Go to a no name little mexican shop. One of them here in Vegas charged me 300 to fix and repaint my back and front bumper. Dropped it off at 8am and picked it up at 6pm same day. All done with paint dried. They did an awesome job then the next day some old idiot not watching the road rear ended me...

I would have taken it to a body shop if it were bigger. It sucks because the scratches are big enough to be noticeable, but not big enough to justify a repaint job. I was hoping for a DYI solution .

DIY is no good on paint like that unless you have the proper tools and knowledge. They were only supposed to fix some minor dents/scratches from some accidents and they ended up repainting the whole bumpers, front and rear. I thought they were just going to do the 2 small spots about 6"x6" each.

good job on the "budget" mods... I like the rims .. j/k on that...

you should get some evo7 tails that match your headlights. they have some black out ones on ebay. thats where i got my evo7 carbon fiber tails from. i actually did the same as you did to the grill. except cut out the middle portion and kept the top and bottom parts that had the mounting holes as i used them to secure the mesh inplace and i sprayed mine using black krylon semi-gloss spraypaint from pepboys...

I got my tint's from Auto Links

They are really good, highly recommend it. They actually spent about 3 hours on my car (they quoted 2 hours but spent the extra hour to clean up and made sure everything was right). I actually know the owner personally, so if you want tint's I can get you a discount.

Depending on the car you have (assuming it's a lancer or a 4 door vehicle)

The Regular price is around $200,

I can most likely run a deal for you for about 190 - 180.
If you manage to get more than 1 car, it's a lot easier to get a deal.
Let me know if you're interested, and i can fill you in on the info.

It's also high quality tints, they have 32%, 20%, 5% in stock.
All cost the same.
They actually take apart your whole door and do the tints for the whole glass panel.

They also have a good set-up in the waiting room (i.e. PS3, Movies, Big Screen TV .)

pm me if your interested and i can give you a ref to get a discount.
