i just debadge my trunk. left the mitsu symbol only. wow!!! it looks very nice but i'm thinking of rebadging the "LANCER" on the bottom left of the trunk. i've seen other members do this and it looks good too.

Goo Gone doesn't work all that great, if u have just a little of the sticky stuff it works, but if almost all of it stays on you have to soak it with Goo Gone for a couple hours before that crap comes off, at least thats what I did and it was still pretty hard to get it all off. just remember, soar fingers if u rub!
what i did was, when i got the emblems off, i sprayed the glue repeatedly with googone while scrubbing with a wet rag, then id heat it with the hairdryer, spray, and rub with fingers, and repeat. had some minor peeling of the skin on my fingers, but it was worth it
BTW, i was finished in about 20 minutes, and that was in winter morning weather: about 50-60 degreez

And as for the OZ badge, like I said before, it's flush with the car, floss, a blockbuster card, nothing would fit between the car and the badge, how did someone else who took it off do it???
I heated it for a minute, then picked at it some with my fingers til i had some space between it and the trunk, then slid in the floss

From past experiences on the old MX and MTB, the best thing I ever found to remove the remaining crap thats left behind after removing a sticker or badge is WD40, it turns that gunk into a easy rub-off solution.

I left the mitsu symbol, still have yet to get the OZ badge off, my prob is I have fake nails so they're thicker than regular nails, thicker than a blockbuster card. I have gotten compliments on my car though. In fact another guy with a black OZ raced me (actually my friend was driving cuz my license is suspended) We kicked his *** off the line, but after 3rd i was a goner, he had intake exhaust and a header. No way I woulda won but it was still fun to see my car in action. He complimented the look of no LANCER. All his friends were eggin him on to do it. Funny thing is I can't stop laughin at his car, he has a buscher (spelling??) exhaust, and the thing sounds like straight up ***! It sounds like a swarm of angry bees!

Is this true that GooGone will remove your paint??? One of my friends told me it would?? That is not a good thing since I saturated the goo from the letters with GooGone.

WD-40 usually will break down the sticky stuff left over, for really tuff stuff, I have used Mequiar's scratch remover and it seems to work well too. Always follow up with some good polish/wax. When you are doing this and you do not have access to a heater or hair dryer, let the car sit in the sun for a bit and it will help out a little.

Goo Gone = 8th wonder of the world

Sometimes it's pretty good at removing bugs too - specially when you have a black car like me

Are there other ways to rebadge emblems without using double-sided tape . I feel like that is easier to steal off...u know just in case some punk decides to take the time and effort to take it off. Is there other adhesive alternatives such as a glue?

What works best with attaching an emblem on mesh ( i.e. front mesh grill) that won't melt off from engine bay heat?
