I still don't believe that's possible. He may have upgraded his internals and modified the head but it can only take so much. Plus he's on an automatic transmission. 430 hp on an automatic Lancer transmission is impossible. I think it's almost impossible to do on a 5-speed.

i dont believe it either but it can happen. no one has really truly pushed the limits on a lancer as in a fully built motor or tranny that i know of. their are fully built auto trannys with a built tq convertor than can hold up pretty good. i wonder if a chick owns the car girl..haha. i also wonder how that turbo holds up too. i thought the t28s only hold up to 350-370 depending on which one it is.

430 WHP (as he claims) is a lot of power. That could be more than 5 times the stock power depending on the dyno.

I believe RRM would give us a true answer on how much our cars can boost and handle. If RRM hasn't reached that yet then I bet this guy hasn't either. RRM has pretty much everything on their car and its only pushing 300 hp, I may be wrong so correct me please.

What get's me is he claims to be running a T-28 in the ebay listing but a T3/T4 .60 trim in the Streetfire profile. If it's the T-28, there's no way he's making that kind of power, period. If it's the T3/T4, that turbo can be good for 400+ WHP depending on the application. For the most part, that seems to be higher compression and higher displacement motors. He also claims to have NOS (it's not NOS, it's nitrous) and meth injection. This is without a tune of course.

Yep, doesn't make sense to me either. I messaged him on streetfire and I await his response.

Wow I guess Chad decided to sell the car. He's legit. He is running alcohol injection and nitrous the last time I checked. He is also tuned, but needs a new tune for the time being. I'll call and see if I can get all the little details from him tomorrow. He is running on a fully built engine and transmission though, and sent me a mod list over the summer. I'll try to dig it up tomorrow as well.

Exclamation

My favorite is the final haunting words of his ebay sale page:
"when car leaves it is your no refund buy as is"

Bad english, but...

It is your(s)...
(you) buy as is!!!!

He might as well have written:

NO tagbags!

Once I get your money you will never see it again when this thing
a)disappoints you
b) blows up in your face!

And what is the "Walker body kit"? Like Paul Walker? Fast and furious reference?

Lol yeah what was with that T-28 than being a t3/t4??? But things change everyday. Things progress and we don't see it everyday. So i mean in reality 430 is pushing it, but can happen. Now without that Meth injection/Nos he probably isn't seeing 430, but probably over 200/300. At the time of dyno he probably pushed everything and saw good numbers.

I'm still skeptical given the fact that he has no proof of his claim.

I don't get why everybody immediately goes to knock somebody when they claim high numbers. I understand skepticism just fine, but there's not a lot here that would tell otherwise. He's got photos of everything claimed on his StreetFire account (alcohol, turbo, nitrous, etc), and like doctorjon above mentioned, he may have changed out the turbo among other parts. I do agree that a T28 couldn't produce that much power from this application, but a T3/T4 shouldn't have much of an issue at that kind of boost.
I've seen the same thing from several people ******* my friend's Procharged Mustang GT, saying it's impossible for him to be putting down 481 at the wheels at only 10 PSI. Even after producing the dyno graph. The dyno both he and I ran on reads low, as he ran at another before getting it tuned and put down 460, and days later ran at National Speed (in similar conditions) and put down 440.
I don't know, I could believe it, but I guess that's just my .02, not that anybody asked.

It isn't our job to disprove his claim, it's his job to prove his. Pictures are meaningless, I can take a picture of my VF-43, claim it's a 20G and then start saying I have over 500 WHP but would you believe me?

It's kind of hard to believe this guy because he is putting out all these signs that it's not a legit car. "no refund buy as is", claiming to have two different turbos, and no dyno or track results. Plus he's running a turbo, alcohol and nitrous on a stock head and transmission. Those may be built up but they can only take so much.
He must have put close to $10,000 into the car and now he's selling it on eBay?
All I want to see is proof, a video with him on a dyno and at the track putting those numbers down. Then I want to see him drive it home to prove that it's a daily driver pushing 26 pounds of boost.

amby, I wouldn't believe you I believe that Rob @ RRM knows him though. They posted a thread about it a while ago that everyone knocked. I dont see why no one can believe that a 100+ shot of nitrous can bump a car that already makes 300-350 whp up to 400-450whp. Yea he's kinda hard to understand when he types, but he gets his point accross. He said he was moving to a t3/t4 turbo a little while ago, maybe he just made some mistakes on the listing.
