What did you expect? No one was bashing you as a person, they were bashing or criticizing the fact you have no proof, that's all. This is the internet, if people couldn't criticize things, there would be nothing to do.

Evom is full of useful information but, as I'm sure you're aware of, it's full of some crap too. How many "I'm going to swap motors" threads have you seen? How many "I'm going to make 400 WHP" threads have you seen? This is a bit like those threads in that there is tons of talk but no real information to validate the claims. I don't think it's too much to ask for proof, I would assume that a dyno had to be used at some point to get the 400 WHP number in the first place.

 

I mean why would RRM tell us that he is at 22 psi if it wasn't true? And c'mon i've seen people bash on Dyno sheets all the time too stating its fake or photoshopped. Just cause its a base lancer noones gonna believe a thing you say cause the car is just a FWD Non-Performance Econobox. Don't worry i believe that your car is making some serious power and i hope someone gets the car and knows what they're buying.

 

Thank you. As soon as someone hears about putting more than 4 grand in a non evo lancer, it becomes pointless and impossible to get power out of for some reason.

 

Whether people believe it or not and whether the dude feels he has nothing to prove or not is besides the point imo. If I dropped that kinda money on a toy I'd be posting some videos. Not to often do you get to watch a 02 lancer turn the rollers like this one may be able to.

Maybe so many people wouldn't hate if people like this guy threw up some videos or some dyno sheets of even 1/4 slips. It's not about proving someone wrong or making a point anyway. It's about showing off your hard work and accomplishments with other people who have the same passions and drive.

That said lets see this thing turn out an 11!!!

 

I actually believe this guy but I want to see it perform. This is possibly the first ever base Lancer to put out those numbers and I want to experience it. I wouldn't mind driving 500+ miles to see this because it's worth it to me.
The only thing that bugs me is that you're selling it. I understand you have a family and everything but you're not going to get the money back. The closest way you can get it back is by parting it out and selling the car completely stock.

He has two people vouching for him, and a named company who has no reason to lie saying it's so. I'm pretty sure he either is pushing that car as he claims or close to it. I'm tempted to go see it myself and talk about cars (and maybe beg for any leftover parts he may have laying around) It's not like he started this thread saying "look what I got" he kinda got dragged in it. Ease off the mans back and accept the fact of what we always say, "if you have the $$$ anything is possible".

I'm sorry but last time I checked, the word of the tuner was not unto God. I don't doubt he's pushing quite a bit of power but we need proof of what that power actually is. Is it 330 WHP? 350 WHP? 420 WHP? Who knows at this point.

 

Could have spent that $45,000 on a real car, with a warranty!
