Well generally speaking, calling a mod a ***** after already being warned to tone it down isn't a wise choice.

 

You are correct that dynos can be falsified but 99.9% of people won't go that far. Moreover, we'll probably be able to tell it's fake if it actually is. I didn't call them a liar persay since that means they are blatantly not telling the truth, in this case we don't have the facts.

 

If there is a mod other than amby can you please shut this thread down and delete it. I look back and see that I should never had started it.
This is one of the reasons I post less on this site because there are too many people here that think they know more than everyone and make them feel like crap.

Its quite that. Its the fact of showing people something and them stating just their opinions. Its either you believe or don't believe. Simple as that.

 

Exactly, but don't chastise people for not having the same opinion as you. I personally think more information is necessary, I've been on here too long to just believe what people say at face value (unless they have proven themselves to be a reliable source). I was burned doing that when I had my Lancer.

Actually noone is criticizing you for needing more information, but when you in most cases want to argue with most of the evidence its just showing that you wanna start arguments. Karma goes a long way, but doesn't mean you need to point your hatred towards someone you don't know.

 

Again, how is this "hatred"? We have no concrete facts at the moment. Things like pictures and video are just heresay. Hell, if you want I can take a picture of the turbo I have on my floor and them claim I'm making 400 WHP, so would you believe me? No. I don't doubt the car is making a good amount of power but I don't think people should jump on the bandwagon until there are actual facts. Do you really think I enjoy this kind of crap? My life would be so much easier if I didn't have to deal with threads like this. Unfortunately if you just leave them alone, they breed.

 

Well i shouldn't have said hatred, but you stated when you had your lancer you got burned. And sometimes i feel that you take that kind of stuff out on other people's lancers that have a lot of mods you feel are pointless because there are other platforms more suitable. Why be a mod on lancer forum only to tell people to upgrade to another car. Because this car will never perform like the one you are trying to call it. And how is taking a picture of a turbo on your floor and claiming you have 400hp make any sense as to what the boost gauge states on the video? We already confirmed that he does need the actual dyno tune with proof of hp.

 

Part of being a good moderator is giving people honest advice based on experience. Unfortunately sometimes this does require shaking some reality into people. If someone posts up "I want more power", I don't tell them "buy all the bolt-ons, they're great" because that's BS, they do jack all and are a waste of time on an NA motor. I usually tell people to turbo the car or do nothing power wise (ie. focus on the suspension, exterior, interior instead). If someone says they want AWD, I don't tell them to do a swap because that's unrealistic, I tell them to buy an AWD car.
As I said before, we know he's boosting 22 PSI but what does that mean power wise?

 

I mean even you say turbo lancers can make a lot of power. If you say that RRM isn't a reliable source i don't know what you mean.

 

Sooooo...this whole thread ahs gotten way out of control, if he is making these claims, let him, he's the one that will have to prove it one day to someone. But for all the ones who are bickering over if he's lying or not... WHO CARES..... let it go....I know you all have more to do than to figure out his line of BS....fricken hillarious
