yea thats my wife i put it under her acc bec i did not wont to make 1 some of the people was calling bs on my car, so iam keeping it to make a point. iam takeing it to nc to get it tune and make the video on it to show the power that iam putting down. evovclone would u like to come see it run when i take it to raleigh nc so i will have a witness to it run?

 

A video doesn't prove the power claim, you need a dyno with a control.

we dont have alot of evos around here but no not a evo, just about ever thing i have ran was v8s and srt4, i have ran a wrx and waxed his *** and blow out my tranny for the frist time. when i pulled the tranny off my car the torque converter was in pieces

i would like to go before the 1st but i dont think it is going to happen , some time in jan ill let u know. that way when u come and u will see for your self it will be fun

 

i'd even be willing to make the trip, im not doubting, im just willing to see this car get some crazy numbers

I keep seeing on this forum thats suppose to be about helping our lancers turn into a forum where every one is arguing just to prove a point that looks like its been proven several times. Everyone has a right to be innocent until proven guilty. Not guilty until proven innocent. Which in some peoples eyes are the right way...I believe you and if your dyno tune comes to something lower and not even close to the power your stating than i would save your embarrassment and get off the forum. Other than that lets hope its pushing close to the hp number!

If our cars were high compression we can boost low and make high hp numbers. Its not a honda engine.

 

? Skepticism is how the world works, if we took everything on face value, science, logic and tuning would be a joke. If someone makes a claim, how is it inappropriate to expect them to back it up? I don't understand this idea one bit. This forum would be crappiest forum on the net if all we did was believe what everyone says like blind sheep. Hell, there would be hundreds of lancers with evo swaps, AWD, 500 WHP, etc. but none would actually be real. If he dynos the car right (meaning there is a stock or close to stock lancer present to give a baseline), then I'd be more than happy to add it to the FAQ as an indication of what can be done if you have a massive budget. Does this change the facts for the average owner? No, I've been saying for years that you could make the lancer as fast as you want if you're willing to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on it but for most people that isn't an option.

 

Hopefully it'll be after the new year, as I'm going back to Minnesota next week. Curious though, why are you going all the way to Raleigh? You could dyno it at National Speed in Wilmington, and we've got a track right outside of Jacksonville if you planned on running it.

 

So now your saying he didn't back any of his claims up? Pictures/Videos aren't actual proof? Yeah honestly the world is skeptical in some cases, but not all. Just say you don't wanna believe it and move on. I believe it and thats for me. All you can prove is that he doesn't have any dyno sheets up so his claims are all lies.

 

im not suprised about the wrx..haha. i heard turbo lancers take them down if their stock.

 

Pictures and videos can be proof, but not necessarily. I remember someone who had nitrous bottles in their trunk and claimed to be spraying but they weren't. I don't think applies here but it is simply intended to serve the point that pictures can be misleading. Videos are the same, sure we know he's boosting 22 PSI but how do you we know that equates to the power claims? I can take a video of my car driving very fast but does that mean if I claim it has 400 WHP I'm correct? We have absolutely no idea where the power claim came from. That question still has not been answered. It sounds like it was estimated based on 1/4 mile time.

 

Exactly, but in this case you can claim anything to be misleading. False claims and false dyno sheets. And you also state that the people claiming the power are liars until you see the dyno sheet stating its power. We will wait to see that and wait for the reply its fake!
