Interior light changes
hey all. im changing my interior lights to blue and ive already changed my cluster lights using light covers. i was wondering, if i were to use colored bulbs for the rest of it, would they look like a different shade?
Another seperate question is has anyone changed the color of their odometer? howd u do it?

The shade will probably be a little bit different, I guess it depends on the shade of the covers you put over your bulbs. Speaking of that, what kind of covers did you use on the cluster bulbs and how do they look?
Oh yeah and as for the odometer, go here http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...gi?product=CAR and buy the led at the very bottom of the page, T1.5, same type as the rest of the gauge lights. It looks awesome too.

can the odometer be changed by just changing a light or does it need some of that theatrical gell too. and how do i get the odometer off to get to the light

I may be wrong here, but when I changed my a/c controls to red I figured I'd change my odo. cluster to blue, bought the bulbs, but the bulbs that make the cluster orange come in little sockets and the bulb cannot be removed from the socket, trust me I tried, and it broke, had to go to mitsu to get a replacement. In order to change them orange, you'd prolly have to get the little covers, and remove the stock amber cover, but you'd still use the stock socket and bulb. Buying those little led's only will work for the a/c controls. But like I said, maybe someone figured out a way around this, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Fenix, yes, to change the odometer color, all you need is that one bulb. No gel of any kind needed.

i tried changing my cluster to blue...the bulbs didn't come out...and now my rpm light doesnt work....and all my gauges are f*cked up....rpm needle doesnt move, speedo needle is sticky/bouncy and my "E" on my fuel is between F and 3/4 Mark...same with Engine Temp gauge.
thought about buying many gauges and custom making a gauge cluster...but i dunno

Drive02lancer i had the same probs when i put my cluster back together. if u take apart the whole deal again, check to make sure that the mat is flat, cause otherwise the needles could be rubbing. there are little clips that hold the mat down flat so u may wanna check to make sure that the mat is clipped in and not just resting on top of them. if the mat is alright, id check to make sure that the caps on the needles are on straight, cause that was another thing that screwed up my guages.
Rollerpyro thanks man, but how do i get the odometer off inorder to get to the light cause when i took it apart the first time it looked like it was on there pretty solid, and by taking off the odometer, will that somehow screw with my mileage?
btw thanks guys for all the help

oh i just thought of another thing drive02lancer, u ned to put the needles back on after the car is on, that way ur sure that they are in the right place. cause i put mine on with the car off and apparently the needles move a little when the car turns on, so i was reading that my car was runnin hot and that my tank was really full.
