I have a spare PC in my house here, was thinkin of puting it in my trunk and getting a touch screen small monitor and playing my MP3s from it on my radio??? any ideas where to start????
One of our club members, theory, has a pc in his car. Hit him up and I'm sure he'd give you some pointers.
just get a cd changer that plays mp3s .. i have one that holds 10 cds and about 150 songs per disc. ... the pc thing would be nice if u went online and shyt but not just to play music. .. too much hassle with wires and a lot of weight

A spare PC doesnt mean anything.... u gotta know how to tear em apart and rebuild them cuz it's gonna have to be taken out of it's case. Get a mini motherboard and put all ur **** into it then get a LONG VGA cable or USB cable (whichever ur monitor supports) then run it from wherever ur PC is (usually in the trunk or glove compartment) to the TV up front. Then u gotta get a wireless keyboard and run the IR sensor somewhere up in the front and a wireless mouse. or just get a touchscreen monitor. then u gotta run power to ur power supply and ur pretty much set... you have your basic computer in the car.

If your computer is in the trunk, you need to mount the DVD or CD player in your dash, get long enough cables to power them.
Then you need a real good sound card.
A good power inverter

ok i found a touch screen monitor on that last site and it really helps, but now i got another question, when i turn off the car what would be a good thing to install on my comp or anything like that to where it will shut itself off automatically using some battery power...?????
OPUS psu will solve your problem!
here is the link:
http://www.opussolutions.com/150watt.html
it shutdowns the carputer for you as soon as you turn off the ignition. And it's a bit pricey though.
hope this helps
