rrm/progress spring noise
I spent a lot of time talking to Eibach tech support a while ago and all they said was to make sure that I was able to read the Eibach logo right side up. Coronalancer is right, The front logos have to read upside down. Why couldn't Eibach have figured that out? They Su*k!
im sure everything that needed to be said was said in this thread, but if not:
it doesnt matter if the springs are upside down, as long as they both are facing the same way. you can have 2 upsidedown, but now one right side up and upside down.
get the plastic coilover covers from progress and put it where the spring hits itself on the second to last coil.
check your sway bar perches, that seems to be a common problem, but it never happened to me yet, but i switched out my perches anyways.

I had the same problem w/ my progress springs, I installed one upside down on the front driver side. clankadee clank clank!! I drove it to Los Angeles like that (F-ing annoying!) After putting it right side up, the noise was gone, but still came back to haunt me when hitting a larger bump, or big dip. Looking at the spring, its obvious that the the spring coils are comming in contact with one another. I would say poor manufacturing... then again, I used to have a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage which I had also lowered.. I used sprint springs... For the record (sprint SLAMS cars) in more ways than one. It dumped my lancer over 2 inches in the front, and just under 2 inches in the back.. had a sweet look, only thing was, you hit a bump, and the spring COMPLETELY compresses and the car slams on ZERO suspension... blah.. anyhow, on to the Progress ..... They are comming off, they only ride good w/ the stock oz rims & tires... w/ my 17's, the ride is much to bumpy, hard, irritating for a commuter car.. Soon i will be switching back to my stock springs and be back on my stilts! If anyone wants these springs, let me know... I dont want them sitting in my garage.
Good luck to all you clankers :-)
PM me for the springs (I dont have the coil covers, but you can get these from progress as earlier stated in the thread)

I installed my Isolator from Progress this morning, and the noises are completely gone. If you've gone that kind of problems with your springs and you don't feel like waiting for Progress to send you the isolator, got to your nearest hardaware store and buy some white hard but flexible pvc hose.
Buy the one that has a 1/4 inch opening with 1/8 or 1/16 inch thickness. Cut a few pieces of 2" long. On every lenght that you've already cut, make a spiral cut from 1 end to the other. Put those lenght on your springs where paint seems to be crushed and scratched off. The spiral cut will allow an easier install.
