Squeaky Steering issue
Squeaky Steering issue
Hello all... I lowered my car this summer on a set of RRM springs. Install went fine with no issues, got an alignment a week later.
Now that it's getting cold out, I am having an issue when the car is cold. When I turn the wheel (all the way left, then all the way right) when the car is stationary, the steering wheel squeaks. The sound seems to be coming from the steering assembly. The only reason I think it might be fine is it only occurs for the first few minutes of driving. Once the car is warmed up, everything is fine.
Does anyone else have this issue when their lowered vehicle is cold?

i had the TEIN S-TECH on my lancer and the same thing happens to me, but not only when the car is cold, the sound always happens, some people have told me that these are not the correct lowering spring for the car

if you ordered them from the right people and the part number matches Teins website. than its for the right car.
Hay, sorry to bring this thread back to life.
But I got the damn squeaks now. I live in Houston though, even winter is still around 40s to 60s. But the darn steer wheel still squeaks when turned at low speed or stationary. Is that normal?
Is there a way to fix without going to the dealership? Is it covered under the warranty?
If I go, I will let them check out my squeaky rear suspension too. Damn man, our lance have so much old man problems.

My wife has a stock 08 GTS and the suspension is horrible when it is cold outside. It squeaks mainly when turning on the slightest incline. (like backing out of the driveway into the alley) It has done this when its cold outside since day one and I have given up after 6 tries to the dealership.
