ok....just wondering.
i installed the kartboy shifter bushings.....do i leave the copper colored washer on or off??? and also those base bushing fit like sh*t.... i just left em floating and tightened them down.....seems ok.....any feedback?
I think the washers go back on for the under-hood bushings. All you're replacing is the rubber part with the urethane, and the rest of the assembly should stay the same.
As for the base bushings, did you try and rattle the shifter assembly before removing those four bolts? That thing rocked quite a bit. Even though the base bushings fit "loose", tighten bolts down around them and that assembly is SOLID.

thanx....good thing i did leave em in..
and as far as the base bushings....i just tightened the bushings down...they didnt even fit...they were quite larger...so i just placed em..centered them and tightened....pretty solid if you ask me...
How the hell did you get them to stay in? I left my copper thingies out and my shifter is fine. To each their own, I guess.
Yeah, the base bushings fit like ****. But they do the job.
