lancer es transmission swap

i have a stock 2002 lancer es, and im currently converting it into an evo. i needed to know if it would be possible to do a transmission swap on an automatic to a manual. Where would i be able find the right transmission, and how much would it cost me.

1) converting into an evo?
2)If using just your stock 4g94 motor then check junk yards and the internet to find the transmission/parts and it can be done for around 3grand at a shop maybe a little more maybe a little less....

Converting to an Evo eh? What exactly do you plan to convert from an Evo into your ES?

My concern is: You're turning your ES into an Evo but you're wondering about the feasability of a transmission swap. That tells me you've got plenty of research to do because you do not know even the basics.

Yes you can swap transmissions.

Just to give you an idea, the only person who ever swapped in a 4g63 (evo engine) on these boards had to use a modified ES transmission to do it. Evo tranny is out of the question for obvious reasons. Search for the link for the evo engine swap and it will help with your project a ton

Yes it is.
Would it be worth it? That depends if you'll do the work your-self.
Don't forget that you'll also need to swap ecu, add a clutch pedal and change the brake pedal.

IT is most definately possible but again like blaze_125 said would it really be worth the effort?

If you bought the car as an automatic and now want to convert it, why wouldn't you of just gotten a manual at the time?

I thought about doing this once, and everything pointed to not worth the money. (Well for me it may be different for you)
