motor mounts
The rubber is completely gone on both my front and rear mounts. If you grab the car by the IM and give it a tug you can feel the motor pop up. Should I get new ones or put windo-weld in them? I have read around and thought that would be the best option, but then asked a few people around and nobody knows what im talking about when i tell them about that trick. There is no rubber connecting the center piece of the mount to the outside, so if I take them off how would I make it so they are on centered if I fill them?
Also, how do I remove the rear mount, or would it be easier to just fill it where it sits? thanks.

Welcome to the world of having to replace those stupid mounts, I'm in the same bucket as you. My back one is out and I haven't checked the front yet. You can hear mine make some poping nosies also. I have a couple of questions, at the end I'll let you know my idea. Do you have any shifting problems with yours because of this? Do you get any bad vibrations? Do you get more vibrations when you turn your a/c on?
Heres what I"m doing, I'm going to buy a new oem rear, and maybe a new front if needed. On the back one, I'm going to use some stuff to feel in the areas that are open one just one mount. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ureth...mZ140140957338 I don't know if thats the stuff you where going to use or not. I think just one mount and it shouldn't create some bad vibrations. I'm going to use the 60a formula.

or you can get them from RRM.
There's no core charge from Road Race, so you can take your old ones and try to DIY yourself.

Well, sometimes my car shifts hard (auto) and i think it may be because the entire motor is not sitting right. However, when in drive and idling, the car vibrates REALLY bad in the front end, because the mounts are shot. I haven't really noticed more vibrations when i turn on the a/c because when i stop for more than just a sec i pop it into neutral.
I looked at the DIY from Rob, but I was just wondering different peoples opinions on what would be best, fill them or pay 180 for the RRM set. Windo-weld is what Rob used, and I was thinking would be best.
Your right, it doesn't come with the mount, just the urethane. Its just to fill in the hollow areas on the factory mount. Its not a complete urethane mount like in the how too. I just suggest this to keep vibrations down. Has anyone filled in just the holes with this stuff?

Do you know how to get the rear mount off? Have you done the DIY mounts, if so how does the ride feel after doing it? What about if the rubebr on it is almost completely gone, how should I set it up so the center piece will be in the correct spot? thanks

RRM installed mine last saturday, big difference from the stock ones. The vibration during idle is not that bad as others say, but thats just me. The engine and the tranny are solid, it feels good.
If you are even able to make the engine budge by tugging on it. Then you need to get the motor mounts replaced immediately. All mods you had planned, put them on hold. Last thing you want is your motor mounts giving out and having your engine not sit up properly in the engine bay...
I had the RRM front mount and would definitely recommend it. If you're lacking in funds, you can fill your own but I was more than willing to just pay for ones that have already been done.
Where is a good place to get a rear mount? Autozone has the front one for about $35 but no rear mount. Im gonna get 2 new ones and fill them with the 80 spec urethane

I guess $32 actually
Anyone know where I can find a rear?
