Clutch adjustment 08 GTS

Noticed I got about 1in free play in the clutch pedal and just wanted to do a quick adjustment. What are the procedures for the lancer?

I know, I don't race it but I guess I have OCD about vehicle maintenance. Why spend 18000+ bucks and not take care of my baby.

So is there any way to adjust it?

You cannot adjust the clutch, as it is a hydraulic clutch. You can't adjust the pedal travel. They are supposed to have some play at the top of the travel to ensure there is not constant pressure on the release bearing while the pedal is released. SO unless it is way beyond spec, causing a driveability problem, then its ok.

according to the manual it's suppose to be .5in or less of free play on the clutch pedal.

by free play, they mean go down there and wiggle it with a finger, not push it in with your foot

I know how to measure free play. I've been under the dash with a ruler and use my index finger to push the pedal until I feel resistance.

Well if it is out of spec, you need to replace your pedal assembly or master cylinder...good luck
