Question automatic high idle

has any other automatic lancer owners had a prob with the revs jumping high when you have to stop quick? i was driveing to work the other morn(on P.C.H.)going 70 and the light quickly turned red(for no reason...there were no other cars anywhere)now once i stoped the revs started to go up high.now i just put it into park then back to drive and it corrected itself...just courious if this has happen to anyone else out there

never happened to me either...was the tranny in the middle of shifting? if so, that might be the reason...not sure though...
