A/C Is knocking!!
I had blown my motor like 4 months ago and replaced it myself and i had to let the fee-on out of the A/C. I put everything back together and i know i needed a new clutch system. Not having the money for the part because i just bought a motorformy car. Iput it back together with the old one. *Notice* the other motor i got was from an automatic. No problem and all i just replaced the parts i needed from the old motor and made it a standard. Wellafter recharging my a/cand after a few months i noticed that i can hear my compresser kick on and off alot, alot more than it was normally doing. I dont useally drive around with my A/C on unless my wife is in the car with me, it takes away from the power. "I think" Well it kicks on and off and i think its making my throw out bearing rattle because i can be sitting at idel with the a/c on and the compresser will kick on and i hear ratteling, i push the clutch in and it stop ratteling. Then when a/c off its not ratteling at idel. I opend my hood and i know its coming from the right side of my engine bay. where my tranmission is. I also think its going out because the a/c willbe on and the sir will be cool then it will turn to warm or hot somtimes and back to cool again. I have recharged it and made sure not to over charge it. I dont know what wrong with it besides i think the compresser is going out. The cheapist one i found on-line is about $349.00 for a compresser w/clutch. I was just thinking of looking at the junk yard fora replacement but the dependablility on it will deciphear. ***Note I'm sorry if i dont make sence because i useallydont when im drinking. I hope i can get some help on this and maybe anyone that will know a cheaper place to get part forthis.*****
Thx Will

could be a bad throw out bearing...mine is shot and when i put on the AC you can hear it go nuts since the idle changes..i get the rattle and such too just the same as if i were to beat on the car then sit at idle that bearing just has a field day....on the other hand, your compressor...i could be wrong but i was always under the impression that the sensors through-out the motor were placed slightly different in auto's in order to compensate for the tranny...just my 2 cents. let us know if you figure it out.
