my ex always got the zap, instead of me, when we went anywhere. I thought of her as my living grounding device. I laughed my butt off when I started reading this thread just thinking about how everytime she got the zap.

idk if this really works. but every since i added my grounding kit. i havent been shocked... or maybe ive been shocked one to may times and cant feel it ne more. :-)

and my grounding kit didnt seem to do anything more then make sure i had a nice smooth uninterupted shock from my car door >=(

its a lancer thing. my lancer did it all the time (and we're talking humid florida), as does my friend's ralliart and my evo. i just close the door with the back of my wrist (you'll barely feel it there).

I get shocked to getting out of my Lancer. It is minimal compared to shock that you get getting out of my wife's car. That hurts. It is cool to see at night.

im the last 3 or so years ive had da lancer, ive never been shocked, with the exception of last night...i think the warmer weather here in Va had something to do with it...but it hurt like hell and i even saw the spark

when your getting out of your car, put your hand on the roof, and dont let it off until you our completly out of the car. i never get shocked doing that.

Haha thats ironic, "Static"!

I always got shocked on the Lancer, when it was newer.
I actually heard the real reason for this happening and it is in fact a very common Lancer thing.
I forgot why tho...

holy crap! me too. The other day comin' into work two guys were walkin' by when I got a real good one.. One dude said his car did that to him all the time too... not sure if he had a lancer though. Hrmm. Seems like draggin a little somethin' should work...

ya ive just been using the put your hand on the door frame thing and that works. Im thinking about trying anti static spray on the seats. Somewhere in this thread theres a link to it.
