Adjustable shift light
Okay i got one of those adjustable shift lights from ebay and i hooked it up to my car. But i switched the positive and the negative so i blew one of the capaciters. Dunno if theres any one that can help me with this but i replaced the cap and hooked everything back up correctly. When i turn my ignition on i see the startup "blip" from the light but it wont go on when it reaches my shift point. I looked at everything and it doesn't seem that anything else is blown.
Could it be that i need a better ground. I checked for the voltages and they seem fine. Around 14 or so between the pos and neg. And around 3 point something from the rpm wire. Am i just plain outta luck here? Hope someone can help Thanks in advance!

some of those shift lights require you to cut certain wires depending if the vehicle is 4, 6, or 8 cylinders. That can throw off the rpm.
If, anything you can keep on adjusting the rpm until it goes off.
