What modifications do you have on your car. We need to know this before anything...

spark plugs, a lot of us have had that problem at taking off from a light and gasing it, might want to go to an autoparts store, spend a few bux and change your plugs, fixed mine and a lot of other peoples problem like yours

That had started to happen to me a few months ago. Started to sputter when I tries to go faster than 80mph. So what I did was make sure my fuel pressure regulator was working properly, change my oil, changed timing belt (mine's was cracking in the middle)and changed spark plugs (which i hadn't changed them in about 6 months).

Basically simple maintance

So you change your plugs every 6 months?

It was something that I kept putting off. Now I change the spark plugs every 2 months; tend to drive the car hard.

wow... From what I remember you should only change your plugs every tune-up dude. No need to throw away your money on plugs.

As a matter of fact, you should change your plugs every 2 years or 30,000 miles.

Go to a tranny shop and have them check your Input/Output speed sensors. That could be causing your transmission not to change or detect the proper gear.

Also, check your transmission fluid levels/ and color to see if it's in good shape.
